A real winter treat trail after trail
Cross-country skiing in South Tyrol is associated with idyllic wintry scenery, a landscape covered in deep snow and an endless sense of freedom. Around S. Maddalena / St. Magdalena in Valle di Casies / Gsiesertal and the nearby Dolomites roughly 1,300 km of perfectly groomed trails await you that ensure endless fun cross-country skiing in South Tyrol.
Valle di Casies / Gsiesertal and nearby Plan de Corones / Kronplatz are part of Dolomiti Nordicski, the largest cross-country skiing network in Europe and promise a whole variety of possibilities for you to enjoy cross-country skiing in Valle di Casies / Gsiesertal and surroundings – with just one cross-country skiing pass. Valle di Casies / Gsiesertal alone has 40 kilometres of trails to offer and your host Sepp is a cross-country skiing instructor: with his help you can learn cross-country skiing in South Tyrol or improve your technique.
One highlight is the Valle di Casies / Gsiesertal race, which has been taking place for more than 30 years, that cross-country skiers from all over the world take part in and compete in the "classic" and "skating" disciplines. You can also go night cross-country skiing every day on the floodlit circular trail in Rotmoos (a 2-minute car drive away from the hotel) – your host Sepp will accompany you sometimes.
